Last week we had a few days of a great heatwave. It was difficult, and imagine that this is the moment I chose to go to a festival, the weekend when the temperatures exploded records throughout. This heatwave of June 2020 will remain in the minds (and unfortunately with global warming, there is a good bet that there will be others of the same ilk ...).

Protect yourself from the sun

Umbrella 
I see more and more people using umbrellas to protect themselves from the sun, like our Japanese friends. And I regretted not having made this choice, especially since now we find super pretty and qualitative. Choose an anti-UV material.

Sun products 
I have a skin rather sensitive to the sun (especially during the first exposures) and I have in the past made several summer lucite. Late spring / early summer is a bit touchy for me.
I usually do a solar oenobiol cure (super effective on me, I haven't had lucite since I have been doing it) in order to prevent, but this year I simply forgot.

Since spring, in the city, I use the SVR and Filorga sunglasses: I'm very happy with it.
Zero sunburns, and yet I was not very serious about the re-application of the product throughout the weekend of the festival. In addition, I misted with water all day ... which could have jeopardized the behavior of the product and therefore its protection.
Not even a little sunburn on the nose or shoulders (my 2 most problematic areas).
So obviously, I highly recommend them.

On the body, I used dry oil with a satin finish, even if I prefer the texture of the milk-in-mist to the dry touch, but it is SPF 30 and for this weekend I clearly needed protection 50+.
On the face, I also really like the Filorga UV-Bronze SPF 50+ anti-wrinkle and anti-stain, super effective. But there is a defect: its screw cap, not very practical for my taste when you are out and about.
I now prefer him therefore the ultra-matte multi-resistant Sun Secure SPF 50+ gel of which I am a fan, fan, ultra fan. It is great for oily or combination skin like mine, which tends to shine on the T zone in hot weather.
The gel texture mattifies at the top. I think I have never textured an equivalent texture, it's my big favorite in solar, I highly recommend it. And then in general, I am a fan of SVR products, I loved everything I have tested so far. Well done to them.

The cooler bag 
Already, we had to plan what to hydrate all day. And to keep drinks cold for long scorching hours: good luck.

I put it in the freezer the day before and the next day it is operational thanks to the gel pockets integrated in the walls of the bag. There are several sizes. I opted for medium size: easy to transport but can contain a 1.5L water bottle (a little diagonally), while it does not fit in the smaller models. I was able to put a large bottle, a smaller 75cl bottle, and my picnic. I then slipped it into my classic backpack.
The Pack-It bag is certainly one of my best investments in recent years, I use it every summer.
Know that there are insulated backpacks, for my part, I find that they keep less cold than my pack it-bag but they are still very practical. It is according to your needs.
The fogger & the fan (+ the fogger-fan)

Great classic: the fogger. I always take a size between 2: neither too small (we quickly run out, especially if we help other people who don't have one), nor too large. So I recommend the 150ml size that I personally find perfect.
My advice is to make your reservations in advance because in the event of a heatwave it is the kind of product that is quickly found out of stock…
I use that of the Evian brand because I have the feeling that it is the one that my skin likes (with that of Avene), but they are about equal.
Be aware however that the Cellular Water of the Esthederm Institute is really great for sensitive and reactive skin. It is not the same price, but it immediately soothes distressed skin. It saved my skin during an allergic reaction (to an organic product… like what!) Which made my face on fire. To be reserved therefore for urgent situations but I advise you to always have a bottle at home.

But I must admit that my great discovery was on a stand where we were refreshed with this awesome object: a pocket fan sprayer. It refreshes thunder, we were in a place where there was not a bit of wind, at 2 p.m., the heat was unbearable and it really helped us to survive. I don't know exactly which model it was, the most similar is this one.

It works with batteries, and the big advantage compared to the conventional fogger is that you can recharge the water ad infinitum ... I nevertheless advise for sensitive skin like mine to use mineral or softened water.
